Feature in focus: restrict internal access to client data

What is it?

XTRF offers you the ability to restrict who within your organization can see specific client data. This is perfect for situations where you’ve signed non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).

What are the benefits?

  • Adhere to your clients’ NDAs.
  • Choose who can access specific client data (profiles, quotes, projects, and invoices).
  • Configure permissions based on specific roles within your organization.

How does it work?

Specific clients often have specific requirements about who within your organization can access their information, whether profiles, quotes, projects, or invoices. XTRF allows you to manage this on a granular level.

You can choose to specify which user types can access this information for each client. Permissions are managed by job role, so you can grant or remove access for salespeople, account managers, project managers, project coordinators, or additional responsible people. Admin accounts automatically have access to all client data.

How do I get started?

If you’re already an XTRF user, you can manage this within Configuration.

  1. Navigate to User Management, and select the relevant client.
  2. Then, select which user roles can access data for that client (PMs, account managers, or project coordinators).
  3. Once you’ve set that up, only users that are both one of the relevant user types, and have been assigned to that client profile, will be able to access client data.
