Feature in focus: choose which vendors can see client and project names

What is it?

With this feature, you control which of your vendors see project and client names. It was designed with in‑house vendors in mind, so you can allow them to see these details while disabling this for external vendors if necessary.

What are the benefits?

  • Provide in-house and external vendors with different information if you choose.
  • Keep confidential information within your organization.
  • Choose from all vendors, no vendors, or only in‑house vendors seeing the project and/or client name.

How does it work?

Your in‑house vendors are those with the “in‑house” checkbox selected within XTRF – (see the Knowledge Base article for more info).

As part of the Vendor Portal’s privacy settings, you can set the visibility for both project name and client name separately. For each, you can choose from displaying the name to no vendors, all vendors, or just your in-house vendors.

This allows you to restrict confidential information to your staff if needed, while also making sure your vendors have all the information they need to do an excellent job.

And because it’s nice and easy to configure, you can easily change settings if your requirements change.

How do I get started?

If you’re already an XTRF user, see the Knowledge Base article about showing project and client names to vendors.

If you’re not yet working with XTRF, then why not sign up for our free no-obligations trial so you can get a taste of the system.
